Caritas SED Galle Marks World Food Day 2025 with “Hand in Hand for Better Foods and Better Future” Program

Caritas SED Galle successfully commemorated World Food Day 2025 under the theme “Hand in Hand for Better Foods and Better Future” on November 4, 2025, at the Caritas SED Galle premises.

The event was organized by Caritas SED Galle and featured 22 exhibition stalls showcasing the products and innovations of beneficiaries from Galle, Matara, and Hambantota districts under the Food Security Project. Participants presented a range of value-added food products, sustainable agricultural practices, and community-based food initiatives.

A simultaneous art exhibition was also organized, creatively highlighting the importance of food security, environmental care, and community well-being through artistic expression.

The Chief Guest for the occasion was the National Director of Caritas Sri Lanka – SEDEC, who commended the beneficiaries for their efforts in promoting sustainable food systems and community resilience.

The event provided an excellent platform for sharing knowledge, celebrating local achievements, and reinforcing Caritas Sri Lanka’s commitment to building a better and food-secure future for all.
