Assuming duties of New Procurator of the Diocese and the Secretary to the Bishop

Rev. Fr. Prasad Ruwan officially assumed office as the new Procurator General of the Diocese of Galle, while Rev. Fr. Nimesh Sameera Perera assumed office as the new Secretary to the Bishop of Galle. The Oath of Office was administered by Rt. Rev. Dr. Raymond Wickramasinghe, Bishop of Galle, at the Bishop’s House today.

Very Rev. Fr. Michael Rajendram, Vicar General of the Diocese, was present for the occasion.

The Diocese of Galle expresses its sincere gratitude to Rev. Fr. Harold Leo Merril Peiris, the outgoing Procurator General, and Rev. Fr. Prasad Ruwan, the outgoing Secretary to the Bishop, for their faithful, dedicated, and invaluable service to the Diocese. We assure them of our prayers and wish them God’s abundant blessings as they continue their priestly ministry.
